Hope
Day disappoints the vigil's ardour,
Hope overlooks reality;
Pride supersedes aesthetic rigour,
Life's disappointments multiply.
Jesus exceeds all expectation,
God in our flesh, mankind restored;
Hope in the new fruit of creation,
Life in the glory of the Lord.
