The Word of Galilee
- The angel Gabriel was sent of God
Unto a spotless maid of Galilee,
"Hail, you are highly favoured of The Lord,
Do not be frightened for he is with thee."
- In the beginning the Word was with God,
Outside the boundaries of time and space;
But he would send his light into the world,
Affirming kinship with our human race.
- "You will conceive and bear the child of God."
"I am his handmaid, let God's will be done."
The Word was made flesh and dwells among us,
For Mary bore our saviour, God's own son.
