Annunciation
1. Mary at prayer before the rising sun
  Drowned in a blaze of light
Stutters and shudders in mid Antiphon
  Rooted from taking flight:
O holy maiden, only choice of God
Whose blood, fused with The Spirit, was His blood.
2. Mary entranced by troubling messages
  Clutches herself in fright
Wondering  what the turmoil presages
  How can she make things right?
O holy maiden, Mother of The Lord
Through whom the Flesh was answer to The Word.
3. Mary at prayer after the setting sun
  Offers herself totally
Whatever trouble now God's will be done
  Bless-ed eternally.
O holy maiden, dressed in Heaven's veil;
In graciousness, remember our travail.
