For Victims of Human Failure
- Lord, when my judgment fails
Or time and strength run down
Protect those I sought to protect
As they are all Your own. - In human enterprise
The end is never sure
Even when blessed with good intent
And motives that are pure. - Protect me, too, from hurt
When I have tried and failed
And from derision from those pleased
That I have not prevailed. - But most of all give me
The courage to proceed
Bearing the Spirit's tender yoke
To help Your souls in need.
