Eucharistic Meditations

Forty Seven

  1. Thy human pain in sacrifice
    Is more, O Lord, than we can bear;
    As those below Thy wounded feet
    We suffer as if we were there.
  2. And yet our time at Calvary
    That bleakest day, though hard, is short,
    Between The Eucharist of love
    And triumph that Thy suffering brought.
  3. And so in love and justice we
    Should feel Thy pain in Eucharist
    And not forget it on the day
    The Tomb brought forth Our Risen Christ.
