Ash Wednesday to Pentecost
The Room and the Tomb
- Jesus who died for us
Has risen from the dead;
Kept all his promises,
Done all the things He said. - When he was on the earth
He said He must be killed
To wipe away the sins
Which We have weakly willed. - But just before His death
He changed the bread and wine
In the Eucharist to leave
Us with His Self divine. - To show that He was true
In everything He said
He lived the Eucharist
By rising from the dead. - So we rejoice today
Beside the empty tomb
Because it sets the seal
Upon the Upper Room.
