General (Vol. 2)

Security

  1. All is secure within the sight of God,
Nothing more sure than His unfailing gaze: There will be sorrow enough for us below,
Questioning all the truths we think we know,
But safety for those who walk in His ways.
  2. All is secure within the sight of God,
    His essence pure, divine ubiquity,
Far from our friends and churches he will guide
Our steps where we bear witness to the Word
In meanings we can only vaguely see.
  3. All is secure within the sight of God,
So we must venture from our comfort zone:
We cannot stand and watch the harvest rot,
Sheltering from rain or sun that is too hot
But labour, if we must, alone.
  4. All is secure within the sight of God,
Nothing more plain than His great guarantee
That through His Son salvation is secure
As long as we unceasingly ensure
Our lives are worthy of eternity.
